Zia Engineering & Environmental Consultants, LLC is seeking professionals for
potential full and part time employment in the field of archaeology. The position
sought is Field Supervisor.
Field Supervisor
This position is primarily responsible for conducting cultural resources field work
including surveying, site recording, and excavation in compliance with Section 106,
specific federal agency and state historic preservation requirements. Requirements
for the position include 5 years cultural resources supervisory experience in New
Mexico, West Texas and/or Arizona and a Bachelors Degree in archaeology, anthropology,
or other related field. Desirable skills include:

The ability to obtain or meet cultural resources permitting requirements for
field supervisors in New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona.

The ability to communicate with clients’ representatives and applicable regulatory
agencies from initiation of projects through to completion.

Excellent report writing skills.

Management of projects from budgeting through final report.

The ability to find creative solutions to a variety of work related issues.

Ability to work with a dynamic group of professionals including biologists, engineers,
etc.

Familiarity with state and federal cultural resources regulations.

The ability to operate a PC, GIS, GPS, total station and/or other technical capabilities.

The ability to work in adverse, physically challenging conditions in remote locations.
